Stack Lake is a 140 acre lake. Formerly called Two Stacks Lake, it was formed when an earth dam was placed on the feeder creek. Excavating equipment was left in the fall near the creek while the workers went hunting. No big deal right? Upon returning from their hunting trip the lake had formed covering the equipment leaving only two stacks of the earth movers visible sticking out of the water. What a mess to drain and repair the equipment.
